It Took 150,000 Stitches to Make Dior’s Solar Slip-On Sneakers

Available in three fall-ready colorways.

Dior‘s Solar slip-on sneakers were first seen on the runway during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. After months of waiting, the fashion house has finally dropped its latest silhouette in three fall-inspired colorways.

Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the footwear style arrives in “Bronze,” “Blue” and “Burgundy.” For a comfortable fit, the shoe comes with a padded collar, along with stretch inserts on the sides. Featuring the label’s iconic Dior Oblique pattern throughout, the pair is constructed out of premium velvet material, which took more than 150,000 stitches to put together. Rounding out the design is the textured rubber sole engraved with a star, Christian Dior‘s lucky symbol.

Take a closer look at all three iterations in the gallery above. Dior’s Solar slip-on sneakers retail for $790 USD each, which you can now purchase via Dior’s website and select boutiques.
