Instagram DMs have an entirely new look. Delivering on Facebook‘s promise to merge the Messenger app with Instagram’s direct message function, the company has announced several new features coming to the photo-sharing platform.

In Vanish Mode, DMs will disappear after they’ve been viewed or after the chat is closed. Additional privacy controls will also allow users to specify who can message them. Adding flair to message threads, users can customize chats with color gradients and create Selfie Stickers, customized boomerang stickers of their face. Helping friends and family connect during the pandemic, Watch Together allows audiences to simultaneously view IGTV, TV shows and movies during a video call.
