Yoshitomo Nara and Other Renowned Artists Design Exclusive Plates for Charity

Benefitting New York’s Coalition for the Homeless.

New York‘s Coalition for the Homeless, an advocacy group providing food, housing and crisis services to the homeless, has teamed up with 50 celebrated artists on a collection of limited-edition porcelain plates.

Artists including Yoshitomo Nara, Maurizio Cattelan and Ed Ruscha have lent their works to appear on the range of white plates, which are marked with each artist’s signature on the back. Other participants include Jenny Holzer, Glenn Ligon and Eddie Martinez. The purchase of each plate will feed 75 homeless and hungry New Yorkers, as well as help provide critical care for thousands of at-risk people each day.

The Coalition for the Homeless’ artist plates will be produced in limited editions of 175 and will sell for $175 USD each starting November 16 at the Coalition for the Homeless website. In the meantime, those interested can donate to the project.
