Takashi Murakami Celebrates PORTER's 85th Anniversary With Flower-Covered Collection
Marking the duo’s third team-up.
Following last year’s partnership, PORTER has tapped Takashi Murakami for the third time to create a collection of Kaikai Kiki-branded bags and accessories. The new arrivals are a part of forthcoming releases from the Japanese label celebrating its 85th anniversary.
Comprised of six items, the range stays consistent with previous partnerships, which came with detachable versions of Murakami’s iconic flower motif. Boasting navy blue designs overall, the Tool Bag, Vertical Shoulder Bag, Helmet Bag and Doctor’s Bag are adorned with tonal stitching details and a detachable keychain hanging at the shoulder strap. Available in different silhouettes and sizes, each piece can be worn cross-body or by the shoulder for a casual look. A Fanny Pack is introduced to the lineup with touches of Murakami seen throughout, including the belt buckle and additional keychain. Rounding off the release is a flower-shaped cushion, which can be worn on the back with detachable straps.
See the full collaborative range in the gallery above. Priced from ¥64,000 JPY (approximately $616 USD) to ¥98,000 JPY (approximately $944 USD), the Takashi Murakami x PORTER bags and cushion will be available for purchase online soon.
