Barbie Taps Sir John for Beauty Editorial Celebrating Diversity
The revered MUA updates his star-studded portfolio with the popular figurine.
Having launched its most inclusive range of Barbie dolls early this year, Mattel has now joined forces with revered makeup artist Sir John for a beauty editorial celebrating the creative’s artistry and diversity. The visuals see the popular figurines wearing statement-making makeup looks.
“Barbie has been in my life since childhood and influenced my work over the years. Her evolution and representation of many skin tones, body types and unique looks have been an inspiring journey – to be a part of that journey is a dream come true,” Sir John shares with HYPEBAE on his new collaboration. The latest project adds to his roster of A-list clientele featuring the likes of Beyoncé, Chrissy Teigen and Karlie Kloss. Standout styles include plump, glossy lips paired with natural eye makeup, as well as sparkles covering the eyelids for a festive look.
