Lou Dallas by Raffaella Gives Vintage Tees New Life for SS21
Repurposed into tops, dresses, hoodies and more.
New York-based sustainable designer Raffaella Hanley has unveiled the Spring/Summer 2021 collection for her brand Lou Dallas. Hanley’s latest range of designs consists of a selection of tops, dresses and hoodies constructed out of vintage tees.
All handmade in her Brooklyn studio with the help of her intern who specializes in straight-line beadwork, the pieces boast motifs from her previous collections such as the “Savage Capitalism” print found on the pants, as well as the phrase “Think Otherwise” embellished on the T-shirts and dresses. Elsewhere, small “Earth Day” patches have been incorporated onto some of the garments. Other standout items include the striped jackets with long lace linings and vests, featuring patterns made out of deadstock materials sourced from factories.
Lou Dallas by Raffaella’s SS21 collection has yet to receive an official release date, so stay tuned while we wait for further updates. In the meantime, head over to the label’s website and check out its current offerings.
