Timothée Chalamet's 'SNL' Impression of Harry Styles Is Just What the Internet Needed
Giving the fans what they want.
Timothée Chalamet might have saved 2020 with his charming hosting debut on Saturday Night Live last night, specifically with a hilarious impression of Harry Styles during one of the episode’s funniest skits.
Chalamet gave a convincing portrayal of the singer during “The Dionne Warwick Talk Show,” a parody sketch poking fun at the Twitter queen‘s recent popularity and her viral tweets about artists like Chance the Rapper. Suited up fashionably in head-to-toe Gucci garb, Chalamet did his best impersonation of Styles as he was interviewed by Warwick, portrayed by SNL cast member Ego Nwodim. When asked about Styles’ hit single “Watermelon Sugar,” the actor boldly discussed what he thought the song was all about: “Well, I think it’s just about summer, but some people think it’s about oral…sex,” Chalamet said with a British accent. “On a woman,” he offered.
Unsurprisingly, the sketch sent social media into a frenzy almost instantly, with fans of both Chalamet and Styles sharing their excitement over the celebrity crossover they didn’t know they needed. “The fact that this exists and my worlds are colliding is just -,” an Instagram user wrote. “SNL knew exactly what Gen Z wanted and DELIVERED,” another commented.
Elsewhere on the episode, the 24-year-old actor also appeared on several other must-watch skits. From a rapper sketch where he and Pete Davidson starred as an irritating hip-hop duo, to a holiday-themed family drama where he literally played coronavirus, watch the highlights of the latest SNL here.
