Phoebe Philo Might Be Launching Her Own Collection
Is the former Céline designer about to make a comeback?
It has been more than two years since former Céline designer Phoebe Philo stepped down from her role at the label, and now rumors of a comeback have begun to rise. After spending ten years at the luxury brand, Philo was succeeded by Hedi Slimane, who added both fragrance and menswear to the offerings, as well as rebranded the house itself.
According to WWD, the designer is now planning to return to the fashion scene after a three-year-long hiatus, and it seems as if Philo has been interviewing designers across the world to work on the upcoming project. The collection is said to focus largely on eco-friendly materials and practices, combining a minimal aesthetic with modern techniques. Phoebe Philo has also been mentioned frequently alongside brands like Alaïa, where she could potentially land. Notorious for her privacy, the designer has yet to comment on any speculations.
It remains to see whether Phoebe Philo has something in the works, but make sure to watch this space as any updates surface.
