adidas Announces Collaboration With Renowned Stylist Lotta Volkova

The collaboration features pastel pieces and a must-have ping pong bag.

Even if you don’t recognize the name Lotta Volkova, you’ve most likely seen her work on the runways of revered brands such as Vetements, Balenciaga and Sies Marjan. The style icon is known as the in-house stylist for both Vetements and Balenciaga, and the success of both houses has largely been attributed to her work behind the scenes. Drawing inspiration from post-Soviet street culture, as well as alt-punk and fetishism according to Business of Fashion, Volkova’s aesthetic has become instantly recognized on both the catwalk and streets of contemporary fashion.

Now, the creative brings her unmistakable look to the masses with a coveted adidas Originals collaboration. Announced via Volkova’s own Instagram page, she reveals that the upcoming partnership will introduce a collection of clothing, shoes, swimwear and socks. An accompanying photograph reveals what may be a teaser of what’s to come – a matching top and bottom tracksuit constructed with pastel yellow and green tones. The look also seems to be accessorized with a millennial pink sports bag-cum-handbag, equipped with a side zip compartment for a ping pong paddle.

Although details are still sparse regarding an exact release date, all we know is that the range is slated to be “coming soon.” Stay tuned here as we find out more details. Take a sneak peek of the collaboration in the images below.
