Show Your Eyelashes Some Love With Gucci Beauty's New Mascara L’Obscur

“It builds and builds, for eyes that are everything.”

Gucci Beauty has finally launched its Mascara L’Obscur which was previously used on the runway at Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020, giving models a “tear effect” look. Alessandro Michele shared the concept behind the latest product drop saying:

“I designed Mascara L’Obscur for an authentic person who uses makeup to tell their story of freedom, in their way. When we asked the talents to do the campaign, we looked for somewhat eccentric personalities who really wear their makeup in this way. We called it L’Obscur because this word balances charm and mystery.”

Known for challenging conventional beauty standards, the beauty line’s new buildable mascara was created for the bold, bright and beautiful. Its flexible elastomer brush and ultra-rich creamy texture allows the user to create different looks ranging from classic to bold. Inspired by Michele’s ideals, Gucci’s global makeup artist, Thomas de Kluyver, applies the mascara by handling the brush in different positions – vertically or horizontally – depending on the desired finish.

The Mascara L’Obsur in “Black” retails for $35 USD, which you can now purchase at Gucci Beauty’s website. In case you missed it, don’t forget to check out the label’s Éclat De Beauté Effet Lumière Face Gloss.
