Take a Look Inside JW Anderson's First Flagship Store in Soho, London
The space occupies two addresses on the corner of Brewer and Wardour Street.
British fashion label JW Anderson has opened its very first flagship store in Soho, London, occupying two addresses on the corner of Brewer and Wardour Street. The retail space’s location was personally chosen by Jonathan Anderson himself – on why he specifically picked that spot, he shared in a press release: “Ever since I moved to London from Northern Ireland I have been in love with Soho. There is an incredible energy in the area. It feels quintessentially London to me.”
The brand teamed up with award-winning architectural firm 6a to create a retail environment in honor of the neighborhood’s culture with a modern twist. The space sits in what was once a Victorian building that originally had two separate stores. However, Jonathan wanted to combine it into one and still retain the concept of two addresses with distinct façade treatments. Both storefronts feature custom aluminum fluting and hand-crafted neon signage. The interior of the Brewer Street side consists of faux wood veneer on the walls and furniture, cabinets incorporated with pops of color and subtle JWA Anchor logo details. As for the Wardour Street shop, the light and airy exhibition-like space features high ceilings, bright floors and modular aluminum shelving.
The flagship will carry the entire range of JW Anderson’s products such as menswear, womenswear, small leather goods, shoes, handbags and accessories. In addition, customers are able to shop special collaborations like the Converse x JW Anderson collection, as well as the recently unveiled line for Moncler Genius.
