Artists for Asian American Federation Fundraiser Supports NYC’s Asian Communities Affected by COVID-19
Featuring works from Kim Shui, Chris Habana, Nicole Saldana and more.
Sirui Ma, FAR-NEAR and more have established a fundraiser solely to support Asian-American communities amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The initiative is currently selling works of Asian-American artists to support the Asian American Federation (AAF), a pan-Asian non-profit representing “70 community-based organizations serving 1.3 million Asian Americans” in New York City.
Since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, a surge of anti-Asian hate crimes has increased. As a result, many businesses run by Asians worldwide have been negatively affected. In light of these uncertain times, AAF pledges to help fight anti-Asian hate through providing mental health programs for its communities who are currently experiencing fear and going through anxiety. You can show your support by purchasing works from creatives including Kim Shui, Chris Habana, Nicole Saldana and more.
Head on over to Artists for Asian American Federation’s website and donate to the cause. In other COVID-19 news, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and British Fashion Council have called for designers to “slow down” amidst the health crisis.
