Golf Wang Brings Color to the Iconic Levi's 501 Jean & Trucker Jacket
Featuring the label’s signature rainbow polka-dot print – previously seen in the 2016 runway show.
Every year, Levi’s celebrates its most iconic pair of jeans – the 501 – which was originally produced on May 20, 1873. In celebration of 501 Day, the American denim company has teamed up with Golf Wang for a new capsule collection. Jennifer Sey, Chief Marketing Officer at Levi’s said in a press release:
“Tyler, The Creator is the voice of a generation – in his individualism, originality, creativity and style. He breaks barriers both in music and in life. He is our dream partner for 501 Day – nobody better represents the authenticity and originality of Levi’s.”
The range features a colorful take on the high waist, straight leg 501 ‘93 Jean and Vintage Fit Trucker Jacket. The garments boast GOLF’s signature rainbow polka-dot print – created for his 2016 Golf Wang runway show – along with a special edition, co-branded back patch. Additionally, the bottoms sport both Levi’s and Golf Wang sizing on the back patch that creates a custom fit for the wearer. Take a detailed look at both items in the galleries above and below.
The 501 ‘93 Jean retails for €140 EUR (approximately $150 USD), while the Vintage Fit Trucker Jacket is priced at €175 EUR (approximately $190 USD). The entire collection will be available to purchase via Levi’s website and Golf Wang’s website on May 20.
