Takashi Murakami x Pangaia Collaborate on Hoodie and T-Shirt Collection
Celebrating World Bee Day.
Buzzy loungewear brand Pangaia has teamed up with Takashi Murakami on a collection of colorful hoodies and T-shirts. In honor of World Bee Day, recognized annually on May 20, each garment is printed with a cartoon bee next to the renown artist’s signature Kaikai Kiki flower. In line with its sustainable practices, Pangaia has also launched a fund, dubbed Bee the Change, which will help protect and preserve vulnerable bee species across the world.
Rendered in Pangaia’s vibrant colorways, including yellow, blue and purple, two styles of the Recycled Cotton Hoodie and Seaweed Fiber T-Shirt feature a Kaikai Kiki-printed globe or standalone Kaikai Kiki flower. A waving bee hovers over each design, nodding to the fact that the often-maligned insect pollinates one-third of the world’s global food supply.
