Burberry to Hold SS21 Show Outdoors, Digitally

The presentation will be open to all to experience.

Burberry has announced that it will show its Spring/Summer 2021 collection at an in-person event despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Billed as a “live physical presentation that is open for all to experience digitally,” the event will take place at an undisclosed location in the “British outdoors.”

“As humans, we have always had a deep affinity to nature. We have had to respect and rely upon its power for our very existence, whilst marveling and reveling in its extraordinary beauty,” Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci said of the upcoming presentation. “Especially recently, we have all yearned to reconnect again and for this show, I wanted to celebrate these feelings by bringing our community together in a creative experience that takes place within the beautiful, natural landscape of Britain.”

According to a press release, the show will be certified carbon neutral, achieved in part by offsetting any emissions through Burberry’s Regeneration Fund. The brand has not at this time revealed how it will enforce social distancing guidelines.

Burberry’s SS21 show is scheduled for September 17. Stay tuned as updates emerge.
