While the house’s menswear designer Virgil Abloh recently offered a preview of his upcoming Pre-Spring 2021 range, Louis Vuitton‘s womenswear director Nicolas Ghesquière has now returned for the Cruise 2021 season. Titled “GAME ON,” the latest collection adds Monogram flowers and four suits of a card deck to statement accessories.

“I looked somewhere that has been calling out to me for a long time, somewhere I hadn’t taken the time to go back to. To uncover one inspiration after another. This is an exploration of my creative identity,” Ghesquière commented on his new creation in an official press release. Instead of inviting guests to a foreign city, the designer takes viewers on a personal journey – through his past, present and future.

A diverse color palette is seen throughout the collection, including a pair of red, black and white striped trousers that are layered beneath a beige trench coat, accessorized with a multicolored Monogram bag. The pattern on the purse is adorned with card suits, including red hearts. Similar motifs are found across accessories throughout the range, which is accentuated with a handbag in the shape of playing cards. A dynamic selection of footwear completes the lookbook, featuring mid-length boots, pumps and the Archlight sneakers.
