Netflix to Cancel 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' After Season 4

The final chapter is set to premiere later this year.

Netflix has announced that it will discontinue Chilling Adventures of Sabrina after Season 4 premieres later this year. According to Variety, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa broke the news on July 8 and said:

“Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from day one. The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four.”

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was originally developed for The CW as a companion series to Riverdale but switched to Netflix in 2018 after the steaming giant offered a four-part order. The show’s seasons, referred to as “parts,” included 11 episodes in Part 1, nine in Part 2 and eight each in Parts 3 and 4. The official Twitter account of the series posted images of the upcoming season and tweeted: “It all comes down to one last Chilling Adventure. Our final chapter is coming later this year. Coven forever.”

Stay tuned while we wait for the official release date of Part 4. In the meantime, check out all the movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this month.
