'The Michelle Obama Podcast' Season 1 to Premiere on Spotify Soon

Featuring her friends, family and colleagues.

Later this month, Michelle Obama is set to release her very own podcast on Spotify. Dubbed The Michelle Obama Podcast, the former First Lady will be inviting some of the closest people in her life where they will be discussing relationships and friendships, as well as the challenges and joys of being a parent or a spouse. Michelle said in a statement acquired by Variety:

“My hope is that this series can be a place to explore meaningful topics together and sort through so many of the questions we’re all trying to answer in our own lives. Perhaps most of all, I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations — and hard conversations — with the people who matter most to them. That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another.”

Featured guests will include her mother Marian Robinson and older brother Craig Robinson, TV host Conan O’Brien, Barack Obama‘s former adviser Valerie Jarrett and many more. “We believe that audiences across the globe will be inspired by these most candid, most human and most personal conversations between First Lady Michelle Obama and her guests,” said Spotify’s Chief Content and Advertising Business Officer Dawn Ostroff.

Season 1 of The Michelle Obama Podcast premieres on July 29 exclusively on Spotify. In the meantime, don’t forget to watch Michelle’s latest Netflix documentary, Becoming.
