Jil Sander Presents Statement-Making, Yet Minimal Menswear Looks for SS21
Featuring tonal looks throughout.
Following utility-focused designs for its womenswear range, Jil Sander has now digitally presented its Spring/Summer 2021 menswear collection. This time around, Lucie and Luke Meier have focused on functionality and utility to create a lineup of minimal pieces.
Clean, tailored jackets and coats kick off the lookbook in versatile shades like black, as well as pastel coral and greyish mint. The items are layered atop statement garments like a long, knitted dress sporting text graphics throughout. Following up are more tonal looks including a matching vest and trouser set, while hints of bold colors are also spotted on knitwear. Boxy, short-sleeved shirts are slightly cinched at the waist with belt detailing, which is also seen on a long tailored coat and leather jacket.
Eye-catching text graphics such as “YELLOW MOON” and “HOMEGROWN” are patched on a panel on the back of a pair of pants, as well as a knitted vest. More statement details are found on accessories including a cap with a button-on covering that wraps the neck. Rounding off the looks are pouches that are worn around the waist and loose, bulky bags.
