adidas Originals Teams up With OAMC for Two Exclusive Sneakers
Meet the new Type O-4 and Type O-5 silhouettes.
For its latest collaboration, adidas Originals has tapped OAMC for another capsule collection, this time featuring two exclusive silhouettes dubbed the Type O-4 and Type O-5.
OAMC creative director Luke Meier brings a new lightweight technical design together with contrasting materials to create the two new sneakers, continuing to push boundaries. The Type O-4 model features an unconventional transparent fabric across the upper, boasting cutaway venting as well as a sole with enhanced grip. Inspired by the outdoor adidas Terrex sneaker, the shoe arrives in “Night Blue,” “Natural White” and “Camel,” as well as an OAMC exclusive “Lemon Yellow.”
For the Type O-5 iteration, Meier has tapped into the vast Three Stripes archive, taking inspiration from the 1998 adidas EQT Tyranny silhouette. The shoe has been reimagined with a new trail upper, bringing a futuristic touch to the retro design. Arriving in “Natural White,” “Night Blue” and OAMC exclusive “Light Grey,” the sneaker is finished off with adidas Originals’ signature Trefoil logo at back.
The release also sees a selection of socks arriving in five colorways to go alongside the sneakers, and will retail at $299 HKD ($39 USD). The Type O-4 sneaker sees a price tag of $2,199 HKD ( approximately $284 USD) and the O-5 retails at $2,399 HKD ($310 USD).
