Desigual Collaborates with Designer María Escoté for FW20 Capsule Collection

Filled with florals, polka dots and manga-inspired illustrations.

As an ode to iconic ‘90s fashion, Desigual in collaboration with Spanish designer María Escoté have released a colorful capsule collection brimming with vibrant, unconventional takes on florals for Fall/Winter 2020. Exploring an urban and color-filled manga universe, the newest capsule conveys messages of optimism and excitement through the use of exclusive floral prints, patterns and illustrations fashioned in striking colorways like pink, red, purple, black and yellow.

For an untraditional take on fall fashion, designer María Escoté drew inspiration from her childhood and retro ‘90s styling to create the brightly-tinged collection that masterfully mixes florals and polka dots together. “I wanted to draw inspiration from the ‘90s, when I first discovered Desigual while wandering around my city, Barcelona,” she says. “I have always loved illustration and Asian culture. Back then I was obsessed with manga and I always dreamt of creating my own illustrations.” The 15-piece collection showcases Escoté’s knack for creating sophisticated yet urban silhouettes and features stand-out designs like form-fitting dresses, manga-inspired tracksuits, oversized jumpers, patterned denim and playful accessories such as mini backpacks and bowling bags.

This season, up the ante on your street style and embrace the enduring appeal of energetic and electrifying prints. Head to Desigual’s site to purchase pieces from the collection.
