Heritage Jewelry Label Mikimoto Launches First-Ever Perfume
A gender-neutral scent inspired by the cool sea breeze.
Having collaborated with COMME des GARÇONS for a range of pearl necklaces, heritage jewelry brand Mikimoto is now venturing into the beauty market with its first-ever perfume. Dubbed Mikimoto Eau de Parfum, the fragrance highlights the label’s philosophy of coexisting with nature.
Taking inspiration from the cool sea breeze, the gender-neutral scent boasts top notes of citrus composed of grapefruit, orange bigarade, lemon and bergamot. The perfume features additional hints of iris, magnolia, saffron and sandalwood for a deep and elegant feel, staying consistent with Mikimoto’s luxe aesthetic. The scent is bottled in a minimal container by industrial designer Lance McGregor, reminiscent of a pearl within its shell.
