Lady Gaga Drops Mind-Bending "911" Music Video
Watch the bizarre visual here.
Lady Gaga takes fans on a surreal journey with her new music video for “911.” The song, which the artist said is about her experience taking antipsychotic medication, begins against a picturesque white sand desert.
The singer then arrives at a house inhabited by a group of characters dressed in vaguely Middle Eastern-inspired garb. Following a series of scenes depicting Gaga floating above the house like a balloon (in fact, a red rope appears tied to her ankle), the artist crashes to the ground. She’s then forced indoors and dramatically stabbed in the chest.
In a sharp transition, the video cuts to Gaga strapped to a stretcher as she is revived by paramedics. The camera pans to the wreckage of a car crash. On the street, a movie theater advertises an Armenian film festival and a billboard displays New Mexico’s White Sands National Park. With that, the mind-bending, 5-minute video abruptly ends.
