COMME des GARÇONS Taps Mikimoto for Pearl Necklace Collab
Seven unisex styles designed for all.
While we’ve already seen the brand’s recent collaborative varsity jacket with Stussy, COMME des GARÇONS has now tapped Mikimoto for a range of fine jewelry. Arriving in a total of seven styles, the collection features pearl necklaces with CDG branding.
“The image of pearls overlap in places with the image of COMME des GARÇONS,” designer Rei Kawakubo stated in an official press release. Noticing that pearls are no longer confined within the boundaries of women’s jewelry, the creative decided to team up with the Japanese pearl label for unisex designs created for all. Each of the items are crafted with sterling silver and White South Sea or Akoya Mikimoto pearls.
Peep the gallery above for Mikimoto x COMME des GARÇONS’ jewelry items, which are slated to drop mid-February at Mikimoto’s Ginza stores, as well as CDG and Dover Street Market stores internationally. Prices range from $2,800 USD to $39,000 USD.
