The North Face Dresses Its Signature Styles With Its Iconic Yellow Colorway
Including its Retro Nuptse Jacket, Himalayan Down Parka and more.
Shortly after unveiling its “Trotter Gold” capsule, The North Face has released a new selection of Fall/Winter 2020 garments featuring its iconic yellow colorway. First introduced in 1970, the outdoor clothing company’s “Acapulco Gold” shade was designed to stand out and has since then defined the brand over the years.
The exclusive color was seen on the 1971 The North Face sleeping bag and the 1973 Expedition Parka, which was only offered in two hues: “Acapulco Gold” and “Navy.” The North Face’s Global Creative Director Tim Hamilton described the colorway as: “Used for life protection visibility color from top of mountain in summit expeditions and adopted in off mountain for all explorers.” For its latest FW20 range, styles have been adorned with the eye-catching yellow tone, including the Retro Nuptse Jacket and the Himalayan Down Parka.
