A New Wes Anderson Movie Is in the Works

The director will be filming the new title in Rome.

The French Dispatch has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the pandemic isn’t stopping Wes Anderson. The director’s new movie will reportedly start filming next year.

As spotted in a Production Weekly listing, the upcoming shoot, which has yet to receive a title, will be taking place in Rome. There have been multiple reports confirming the news, with Discussing Film sharing that casting has already begun. Although not much has been revealed just yet, we know that the upcoming movie will be centered around a love story and is set to be produced as a live-action film. Some sources have mentioned the possibility of a few stop-motion animated sequences being added to the title.

Stay tuned as we learn more about Anderson’s upcoming film, set to start shooting in March 2021.
