Gucci Announces Collaboration With The North Face
The luxury brand’s first partnership under Alessandro Michele.
As Gucci shared that it will be sitting out this season and implementing a new calendar, the Italian label has announced an upcoming collaboration with The North Face. Taking to Instagram and TikTok, the luxury house released two short videos to hint the duo’s new project. Although not much is known just yet, the teasers suggest that the team-up will celebrate the brands’ heritage with a focus on outdoor wear. Both films capture the mountains and a lake, along with a flag emblazoned with both brands’ logos.
The North Face has been venturing to fashion, while maintaining its functionality, in recent seasons through partnerships with names like MM6 Maison Margiela, sacai and Supreme. Originally known as an outdoor wear label, it has now become a favorite among fashion fanatics with a growing emphasis around Gen Z and millennials. The unexpected collaboration is a first for Gucci under Alessandro Michele‘s tenure, making the announcement all the more exciting.
