UNIQLO UT to Launch Jean-Michel Basquiat x Warner Bros. Collection
Featuring the artist’s rarely seen ‘Joker’ drawings.
For its latest collaboration, UNIQLO UT dug into the archives of Jean-Michel Basquiat to shine a light on the late artist’s rarely seen illustrations of DC Comics characters. Released in collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures, which is gearing up for the release of The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, the range includes hoodies and T-shirts printed with Basquiat drawings alongside DC motifs.
Hoodies in dark green and black feature Basquiat’s abstract expressionist renderings of the Joker, Superman, Batman and Robin. A drawing of The Flash in action is enlarged on a black T-shirt while a bright orange tee arrives with a composition of black-and-white graphics on the back. Lastly, a black pocket T-shirt features a simple outline of the Batman logo on the chest.
The Jean-Michel Basquiat x Warner Bros. x UNIQLO UT collection ranges from approximately $10 to $30 USD and launches on September 7 at the UNIQLO website.
