Technical outerwear pieces covered in camo print.
Having recently launched wardrobe essentials for its “Future Archive” capsule, Burberry has now returned with its Fall/Winter 2021 Pre-Collection lookbook. This time around, Riccardo Tisci takes inspiration from the outdoors with standout patterns, including camo and plaid.
“This is my uniform for the outdoors. My love for all the contrasting elements of nature has been explored and reflected throughout this collection, combining the romance and beauty of nature with utility and practicality,” the creative director comments on the new collection. “I have been inspired by the rich heritage of traditional British dress codes: tempering camouflage prints to blend harmoniously within natural environments, combining them with structured tailoring and romantic florals, Broderie Anglaise details and references to the animal kingdom.”
The resulting designs feature a mix between utility and high-end fashion. A jumpsuit with multiple pockets come with straps wrapping around the legs and waist, while a military-like theme is further explored on a padded coat. Adding onto the lookbook, a multi-colored camo print takes over puffer jackets and technical trousers. Further standouts include accent orange and green hues on pantsuits, which are complete with button-up details at the hem.
