Doraemon Transforms Into an Ox for Gucci's Lunar New Year Collection
The cartoon cat decorates new handbags, small and large.
UPDATE (January 20, 2021): Following the first look at its Doraemon-branded range celebrating Lunar New Year, Gucci has now shared more campaign visuals featuring the beloved cat. The updated images see the manga character receive an ox makeover, dressed in a tan brown hue with horns on its head. The graphic is found on garments such as hoodies and tees, as well as accessories including watches, caps and sneakers. The robot feline takes over GG monogram bags and small leather goods to round out the collection.

ORIGINAL STORY (January 12, 2021): Gucci is ushering in Lunar New Year with a capsule collection of apparel, shoes and accessories decorated with the popular manga character Doraemon.
The adorable blue cat is overlaid on a range of items printed with Gucci’s signature monogram, including leather bags, phone cases and the brand’s coveted Princetown loafers. Hoodies bear a smiling Doraemon alongside Gucci’s double-G emblem, while silk scarves depict the cartoon character smelling pastel pink flowers. Additional items including wallets, slides and tees round out the line.
