ASICS Announces Latest Women's Footwear Campaign With Two New Releases

The arrival of the two new low top shoes in the collection honors trailblazing women around the world.

Returning with a new collection, ASICS reveals A Sound Body, In A Sound Mind campaign that revolves around boundary-breaking women worldwide. With two new sneakers added to the sportswear brand’s arsenal, dubbed the GEL-1130 and the JAPAN S PF, ASICS tapped six influential women to represent the new footwear collection. The campaign is accompanied by potterer Sofia Solamente and businesswoman Jennifer Pauline and their own personal narratives on how they channel feelings of uncertainty and change into success in their respective fields.

With the two new expansions in ASICS’ women’s footwear offerings, the iconic athletic brand pulls from previous silhouettes to create the low-top sneakers. The GEL-1130 comes in champagne and cream tones for a chic touch and is inspired by the upper of the GEL KAYANO 14. This tennis shoe offers more stability, propulsion and comfort given its GEL technology and TRUSSTIC unit in the tooling as well as the sneaker’s breathable mesh, and increased performance aesthetic.

While the GEL-1130 is bulkier, the JAPAN S PF has a more minimalistic flair to it. Featuring metallic ASICS stripes, this shoe reimagines the original JAPAN S PF sneaker, first released in 1981. The new iteration is fashioned in a more feminine shape thanks to its platform sole and can be easily paired with any outfit given its holographic detailing.
