Sustainable New York Brand MONOSUIT Unveils a Futuristic SS22 Collection
Featuring new takes on its high-tech seamless jumpsuit.
MONOSUIT, a New York-based unisex brand worn by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Grimes, Uma Thurman and more, has released its latest collection for Spring/Summer 2022.
Inspired by the 1968 film Destroy All Monsters, the range is filled with styles that feature futuristic elements. “Sometimes these days I dream about turning into a superhero in a smart costume, which would give me a superpower to deal with myself and all the mess around,” shares Maria Agapkina, MONOSUIT’s founder and designer, in a press release.
Leading the line is the label’s high-tech seamless jumpsuit — also known as “monoskin” — crafted from regenerated nylon, which is composed of ocean and landfill waste. “Besides the circular design benefits, it’s also crucial that our monoskin is very lightweight, ultimately soft, breathable, antibacterial and has a thermal effect. We continue to develop our technology every season, and this approach to production will definitely help Earth breathe easier,” Agapkina adds.
The jumpsuits arrive in an array or patterns and colorways including a wavy print, a pink iteration that comes with a face mask and more. Other standouts include the mesh sets comprised of leggings and a long sleeve crop top, bodysuits and asymmetric dresses.
As part of its sustainability efforts, 20% from each sale will go towards the development of circular design. Take a closer look at the campaign images above.
