Onitsuka Tiger Showcases SS22 Collection Digitally at Milan Fashion Week

Filmed on the empty streets of Tokyo.

Onitsuka Tiger has presented its Spring/Summer 2022 collection in a film format for Milan Fashion Week. The lineup pays homage to the brand’s heritage by fusing fashion with sportswear. This marks the second season the label has showcased its collection through a digital film.

Titled “MILAN-TOKYO,” the digital presentation directed by Hideto Hotta takes viewers on a trip from Milan to the quiet streets of Tokyo. Models start their journey from the airport, heading to the center of the city surrounded by traffic lights. The alleyways of Shinjuku and Shibuya transform into a catwalk with neon signs decorating the scene. The short film ends on the rooftop of a Tokyo skyscraper emitting bright lights to represent energy and modernity.

Taking inspiration from the Year of the Tiger, animal prints are splashed across shorts, dresses and tracksuits. Geometric patterns and horizontal linework cover beachwear items. The garments are accessorized with bucket hats, belt bags and backpacks, while the collection is complete with two footwear styles boasting tiger patterns on the upper and soles.

You can head to the official Milan Fashion Week website to view Onitsuka Tiger’s SS22 digital collection.
