Off-White™ Stores Set up Floral Installations in Memory of Virgil Abloh
In London, Hong Kong, Paris, Seoul, Miami, New York, Tokyo and more.
In replacement of its products, Off-White™ has installed a sea of flowers in its stores around the world — including London, Hong Kong, Paris, Seoul, Miami, New York and Tokyo — to pay tribute to its founder and CEO, Virgil Abloh.
“In a world where kindness is rare, where hierarchies still carry weight and where fashion can change the rules but sometimes ends up creating new ones, there was you. Your extended family is heartbroken,” Off-White™ shares in a collective statement. “We will miss you, Virgil. Your words constantly inspired us and gave us the courage to dare, to dream, to create. We’ll miss your WhatsApp messages, your laugh, your pure soul. We love you, Virgil.”
On top of the flowers, graffiti artwork and “VIRGIL FOREVER” quotes can be found on the walls of the stores, as well as digital billboards in and out of the spaces. Fans have also taken part in this tribute by leaving heartfelt messages on the flowers expressing their love and appreciation towards the late designer, who died of cancer at the age of 41.
