Heymat Collaborates With Teklan on Colorful Mix Rugs
Brighten up your home with this ’70s-inspired piece.
Norwegian rug maker Heymat has become famous for its fun pieces, in particular the “Mix” which released in 2016. Now, the label has teamed up with Tekla Evelina Severin, also known as Teklan, for a new take on the fun piece.
Taking inspiration from a ’70s-inspired palette, gemstones and the Mediterranean, the contemporary color scheme is guaranteed to brighten up any home. “I wanted to create a new version of Mix that feels harmonic and inspiring to come home to. I drew great inspiration from the soft and almost meditative color scale of gemstones,” said Tekla Evelina Severin, who is one of the most exiting interior designers in the scene.
The Heymat Mix is crafted from a sustainable material that is suitable for a long life in the “harsh Scandinavian climate,” and also marks the first time that the label has collaborated with a designer outside of Norway. “It’s wonderful to see the co-creation of beautiful, sustainable things – by good design neighbors,” said Heymat CEO Sonja Djønne.
The rug comes in three sizes, small, medium and large (S: 60cm x 85cm, M: 85cm x 115cm, L: 85), and retails at €120 EUR, €210 EUR and €265 EUR respectively ($145, $253 and $320 USD). Take a look at the Teklan x Heymat Mix in the gallery above, and shop the rug online.
