Nike Keeps Its New Air Force 1 Under Wraps, Literally
How far would you go to keep your sneakers clean?
Nike has unveiled the eyebrow-raising design of its latest Air Force 1. The upcoming colorway, dubbed “Keep ‘Em Fresh,” applies a layer of logo-printed tissue paper to the upper. The crinkly covering, typically found in the shoe box, is embossed with the phrase “TIMELESS CLASSIC KEEP FRESH” at the heel.
Underneath the paper, the shoe boasts a white leather upper distressed with an orange-brown patina. Similarly weathered, the white midsole features a brown tint referencing the look of worn-in shoes. Bright white laces and tonal stitching keep the sneaker from looking too muddied.
Nike’s Air Force 1 Low “Keep ‘Em Fresh” is rumored to release sometime in the next few weeks.
