Having unveiled a nostalgic collection for the Spring/Summer 2021 season, Sandy Liang has now digitally showcased her Fall/Winter 2021 range. This time around, the New York designer takes inspiration from a post-pandemic future that we are all dreaming of.

“The collection is about a marriage between what I really wear, and what I wish I could wear,” Liang comments on her latest creations. “I finally feel like it’s okay to dream a bit more, and not always look to and design for what’s right in front of you,” she adds. “It’s ok to heighten the mood, play with emotions, make things that don’t conventionally make sense. To take yourself, or I guess, myself, not too seriously – I feel like I can sketch a little more freely now.”

The resulting lineup features a blend of elevated garments and practical, comfy styles. A puffer vest adorned with floral motifs is paired with a gingham check dress, which is shortly followed by a sheer tulle skirt. Each outfit is complete with knee-high tights and Mary Jane flats, along with a simple headband to keep everything together. Standout garments include a faux fur bandeau top, as well as Liang’s signature fleece jackets dressed in hues of pastel blue, navy and more. The looks are designed to be both “dreamy yet attainable,” as shared by the designer.
