A Look Inside Tase Gallery, Jessie Andrews' Art and Community Space in LA

The multipurpose space also operates as an IRL shopping experience for Andrews’ brands.

Tase Gallery, an art, community and retail space created by model and entrepreneur Jessie Andrews, has opened in Los Angeles.

Adding to the multihyphenate’s long list of projects, the new gallery offers an immersive shopping experience, with exhibitions and retail for Andrews’ multiple brands housed under one roof. Located on Melrose Avenue, the space is characterized by neutral color tones and furniture of mid-century modern style, including a free-flowing, curved sofa placed in the center of the gallery.

“I’m excited to show people a physical space that I live in, in my head. You can walk up and come in. It’s clean and minimal, but cozy and welcoming,” Andrews spoke of the opening in a press release. “Everything from the art, the furniture, our workflow and energy all coexist. At Tase, the meaning behind everything I do gets to come to life in a way the Internet could never experience.”

The gallery launches with installations curated by Andrews herself, as she experiments with different ways of presenting designs from her jewelry line, Bagatiba. Tase will host a show for photographer Hugo Comte‘s new book later this month, followed by a series of other exhibits showing the work by Andrews’ network of creative friends.
