TIME100 Next: Telfar Clemens, Amanda Gorman and Dua Lipa Among Honorees

Find out who else made this year’s list.

TIME has published its annual TIME100 Next list, recognizing rising stars shaping the sectors of entertainment, art, politics and more. An expansion of the prestigious TIME 100 list, TIME100 Next is oriented more towards up-and-coming figures rather than established power players.

This year, the publication names innovators including designer Telfar Clemens, inaugural poet Amanda Gorman and pop star Dua Lipa among its honorees. Profiled by Solange Knowles and photographed for one of six special TIME100 Next covers, Clemens is recognized for his democratized approach to fashion. The brand’s logo bag, which has become one of fashion’s most coveted items, costs under $200 USD, an incredibly accessible price point for a luxury label. In fact, one of Telfar‘s brand mottos is, “it’s not for you, it’s for everyone.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda lauds Gorman for her recitation at Joe Biden‘s inauguration: “She spoke truth to power and embodied clear-eyed hope to a weary nation. She revealed us to ourselves,” he writes. And of Dua Lipa, fellow musician Kylie Minogue gushes, “She’s kind, cool and smart. She’s a bona fide pop behemoth.” Also named among this year’s honorees are model Paloma Elsesser, actor Anya Taylor-Joy, Regé-Jean Page of Bridgerton fame and Hunter Schafer.

Head to the TIME website to see the full list of TIME100 Next honorees.
