Marine Serre x Jimmy Choo Team Up for Crescent-Branded Footwear
The French designer’s futuristic and experimentative style appears on heels, boots and sneakers.
Following up on partnerships with the likes of R-PUR and AWGE, Marine Serre is now back with a footwear collaboration with Jimmy Choo. The team-up features sock ankle-boots, sneakers and more emblazoned with the French designer’s signature motifs throughout.
“Marine Serre is an exciting talent – her innovation and experimentation grabbed my attention. Her designs are bold, confident and inherently feminine – which is perfectly attuned to our language at Jimmy Choo,” the British fashion house’s creative director Sandra Choi shares in a press release. “Marine has her own ethos and way of thinking about the future and it felt right for us to collaborate. It was refreshing to see her perspective on our DNA, our archive – how she would remix Jimmy Choo.” Serre further comments: “I really enjoyed collaborating with such an iconic brand as Jimmy Choo, because of its heritage, unique savoir-faire and for its consolidated experience in shoe design and production.”
The French label’s futuristic theme is splashed onto a total of six footwear styles. The ankle-boot and calf-boot boast shades of black, white, tan and red along with the crescent “Half-Moon” prints, while the theme is continued on Mary Jane flats and pumps. The FARO – a sneaker silhouette boasting an elongated toe – features co-branding across the upper accompanied by leather overlays. The shoe additionally comes in a knee-length boot variation.
