Paris Hilton Comments on Britney Spears' Conservatorship Battle
“To be treated like a child is not fair,” Hilton said during an episode of her podcast.
Paris Hilton took to the latest episode of her podcast, This Is Paris, to discuss Britney Spears and her highly publicized conservatorship battle. Since the premiere of Framing Britney Spears, a documentary exploring the misogyny Spears has faced throughout her career, numerous celebrities have spoken in support of the singer and her bid to escape the control of her father and conservator, Jamie Spears.
Hilton discussed Britney’s predicament, expressing that the situation “makes me feel really sad for [Britney] because she’s such a sweet girl and has such a big heart.” Addressing Spears’s ongoing conservatorship, Hilton commented, “I just can’t imagine being controlled like that. When you’re an adult and you’ve worked your whole life to build this empire, and then to be treated like a child is not fair.” The reality star also commented on the invasive nature of the paparazzi, which played a hand in Spears’s mental breakdown in 2007. “From the moment I’d wake up and leave my house to [the moment] I’d go to bed, they’d be chasing me,” Hilton said.
Framing Britney Spears is available to stream on Hulu.
