BTS Just Dropped Another Teaser for "Butter"

Giving fans a preview of the song’s danceable beat.

UPDATE (May 18, 2021): BTS is continuing to tease their upcoming single, “Butter,” with a second sneak peek at the track.

A brief clip video, posted to the K-pop group’s official YouTube channel, shows all seven members nodding their head to the song’s danceable beat. “Butter” will mark BTS’ second English-language single, following last year’s “Dynamite.” The group plans to unveil an accompanying music video for the soon-to-be-released track.

“Butter” drops on May 21 at 12 a.m. EST. The official music video will release at the same time.

UPDATE (May 9, 2021): HYBE Corporation has unveiled the first teaser for BTS’ upcoming single, “Butter,” initially announced via an hour-long stream of sizzling cooking noises (ostensibly a melting block of butter).

The seven K-pop group members are pictured wearing white and gray suits, with V donning an all-orange look. Though not much has been revealed regarding the track itself, HYBE describes “Butter” as “a dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.” The new single will mark the septet’s second all-English song.

BTS will release “Butter” on May 21 at 12 a.m. EST. Take a look at the teaser image below.

ORIGINAL STORY (April 26, 2021): BTS fans, rejoice: the K-pop supergroup has announced a new single, “Butter,” set to release next month. The septet revealed the news with a tongue-in-cheek YouTube livestream broadcasting the sizzling sounds of a melting block of butter.

A press release describes “Butter” as a “dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.” The track is BTS’ second English-language single, following last year’s smash hit “Dynamite.” It’s been quite the month for BTS — last week, Louis Vuitton appointed the group as Global Ambassadors and just days prior, McDonald’s announced a limited-edition meal created with the K-pop stars.

BTS’ “Butter” drops on May 21 at 12 a.m. EST.
