Fear of God Launches Unisex Children's Collection

The brand is also set to release a slip-on shoe, teased by Jerry Lorenzo earlier this month.

Fear of God Essentials, Jerry Lorenzo‘s loungewear sub-label, is expanding with a new line of childrenswear. Dubbed “Essential Kids,” the genderless collection offers staples including hoodies, T-shirts and sweatpants in shrunken-down sizes.

Lorenzo and his wife, Desiree Manuel, showcase the range alongside their three children in a lookbook lensed by Shaniqwa Jarvis. Kid-sized sweatsuits arrive in neutral colorways printed with subtle Essentials branding. Polo shirts and heavier knit hoodies, seen in Lorenzo’s past collections, are also miniaturized.

Noticeably, the lookbook also features a sleek slip-on shoe that Lorenzo previously teased on Instagram. In early April, the designer posted a photo of himself wearing the backless style, which fans quickly embraced. Now, Fear of God has officially announced the shoe — “The California” — as part of the brand’s mainline collection set to release in May.

Fear of God’s “Essential Kids” collection ranges from $30 to $150 USD and drops at the Fear of God website on May 12. The brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 mainline collection will release on the same day.
