LEGO Kicks Off Pride Month With “Everyone Is Awesome” Set

The 364-piece build unites the LGBTQIA+ and LEGO communities.

In its first-ever celebration of Pride Month, the LEGO Group is launching an “Everyone Is Awesome” set, celebrating the diversity within the company and among its customers.

The buildable set consists of 364 pieces dressed in 11 vibrant shades, inspired by the iconic rainbow flag that symbolizes the love, acceptance and freedom of the LGBTQIA+ community. Once constructed, the display model stands at 10.24cm tall and includes 11 monochrome mini-figures fashioned with a range of colorful hairstyles.

“I wanted to create a model that symbolizes inclusivity and celebrates everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love,” explained set designer Matthew Ashton, Vice President, Design, who identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community himself. The statement went on to say, “Everyone is unique, and with a little more love, acceptance and understanding in the world, we can all feel more free to be our true AWESOME selves! This model shows that we care, and that we truly believe ‘Everyone is awesome’!”

The LEGO “Everyone is Awesome” set is slated to release on June 1, marking the start of Pride 2021. It will be available to purchase on the LEGO website as well as in LEGO branded stores, with a retail price of $34.99 USD/ €34.99 EUR.
