Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals To Reprise Partnership

Yes, the winged sneaker will return.

In 2003, Jeremy Scott and adidas Originals dropped what would become a historic shoe: a high-top sneaker with hefty wings affixed to the left and right laterals, a campy nod to ancient Greek Talaria. Whether you loved or hated the statement silhouette, it’s set to make a comeback — Scott and adidas are reprising their partnership with a collection of footwear and apparel that will drop this fall.

A teaser posted to the official adidas Originals Instagram gives us a peek at what’s to come: Scott’s winged sneakers make an appearance, alongside other throwbacks including teddy bear-topped kicks and technicolor high-tops laced with Flintstones-style bones. “What I love about the collaboration with adidas is it allows me to be able to be so much more in people’s lives because of the accessibility, the price point, and global distribution — and it lets me be able to let my imagination go wild and create things like the teddy bear shoes, the poodles shoes, or the wings,” the designer told Vogue.

The new Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals collection will release sometime this fall.
