Medea's SS22 Collection Features Handbags for Every Mood and Outfit

Milanese handbag label Medea, the brainchild of Italian twin sisters Giulia and Camilla Venturini, has unveiled a new range of statement bags for its Spring/Summer 2022 collection.

Coming in eight different shapes and a variety of colorways, namely “Gold,” bubblegum-like “Pink,” “Star White,” “Lime Punch”and “Mecca Orange,” the upcoming release features bags that suit different styles and personalities. Existing style Busted is updated with abstract prints that pay homage to the color field art movement, while fan-favorite models Hanna and Short are accessorized with leather-coated, chunky chain handles. A party-ready design named Heavy Medea dresses the Short with strategically layered gold and silver chains, and even adorns the mini bag with a Medea logo pendant.

The newly introduced Collapsed Bag, a practical carryall arriving in a classic silhouette, is designed with soft, drawstring-adjustable sides crafted from canvas and nappa leather. Other new must-have styles include the crossbody Bucket, as well as the Cydonia, a baguette-shaped leather shopping bag available in mini and medium sizes. A perfect beach bag, the handmade Raffia tote is characterized by a colorful body, a sturdy leather bottom and Medea’s signature tubular handles.

Medea’s SS22 collection will hit shelves at select retailers and at medeamedea.it in January, 2022. See the lookbook, lensed by Lukas Wassmann, above.
