Have You Tried the Reverse Cat-Eye, TikTok's Latest Makeup Trend?
The look requires only two things – a dark eyeliner and a brush.
TikTok has birthed yet another viral beauty trend – the reverse cat-eye. Just like the one-minute mullet, the makeup look adds to Gen-Z’s obsession for Y2K styles.
The reverse cat-eye, as the name suggests, is an upside-down version of a winged liner look. To achieve the ’00s-style glam, you’ll have to apply dark eyeliner to your lower lash line, smudge the product out using a brush for a smokey feel, and then extend the wing upwards. For a bit of drama, apply a generous amount of mascara or even wear some falsies.
The #reversecateye hashtag has garnered over 7.5 million views on TikTok with social media users sharing their own takes on the trend. Would you try this look out yourself? See how to do the reverse cat-eye down below.
