Havaianas Drops Black-and-White Flip Flops With Illustrator Joshua Vides
Along with a beach towel and split-toe socks.
Havaianas has tapped graphic artist Joshua Vides of design studio Reality to Idea to create collaborative black-and-white flip flops, beach towels and socks.
For those unfamiliar, Vides is known for his signature graphics that have appeared in Fendi‘s temporary London café and “California Sky” collection last year. This time around, the creative’s works are transferred onto Havaianas’s popular TOP and Tradi Zori flip flops. Meanwhile, the beach towel is adorned with illustrations of fruits, sandwiches and a wine glass. Accompanying the release is a pair of split-toe socks that can be worn with the footwear designs.
“Being raised in Southern California, anytime we would hear or see the Havaianas brand was because we were near the beach. We wanted to develop a ‘Beach Essentials’ collection that you could pack up and hit the sand with,” Vides said in a press release.
Peep the co-created designs in the gallery above. Priced from $230 to $998 HKD (approximately $30 to $128 USD), the collection is available exclusively in Hong Kong at the brand’s IFC pop-up and online store.
