Rooney Mara To Play Audrey Hepburn in Apple Biopic

The film shares the same director as ‘Call Me by Your Name’.

Get ready for Breakfast At Tiffany’s — Rooney Mara will play the legendary actor Audrey Hepburn in a new Apple biopic.

The twice Oscar-nominated actor previously played the protagonist in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, also starring James Bond star Daniel Craig. The starlet also worked alongside Cate Blanchett in the lesbian love film Carol, earning her award nominations. Notably, the brunette is also the film’s producer.

Luca Guadagnino, who will direct the upcoming biopic, is credited with Call Me by Your Name featuring Timothée Chalamet. The coming-of-age romance won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and landed Chalamet a Best Actor nomination, launching him to fame.

The Apple biopic focusing on the Belgium-born British Hollywood royalty is written by HBO’s Michael Mitnick.
