AURALEE x New Balance Return With Tonal Iterations of the XC-72

Offered in “Dark Brown” and “Blue.”

AURALEE and New Balance have unveiled a closer look at their XC-72 collaboration, which first made its debut on the Japanese brand’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway back in January. The release follows up on the duo’s ongoing partnership, which has featured popular silhouettes such as the 2002R and 550.

As revealed earlier, the XC-72 kicks are offered in “Dark Brown” and “Blue” colorways. The former arrives with a deep brown hue across the upper, while black outsoles add a subtle touch of contrast. Meanwhile, the latter features a pale blue color, which is accompanied by a lighter shade on the “N” logo as well as the midsole and heel. Both sneakers don a minimalist look, keeping in line with the Tokyo-based fashion brand’s signature aesthetic.

The news joins New Balance’s collaborations with a wide range of names including Joe Freshgoods, Patta, Palace and thisisneverthat, just to name a few.

Take a closer look at the collaboration above. Priced at ¥19,800 JPY (approximately $136 USD) a pair, the AURALEE x New Balance XC-72 is scheduled to release on October 13.
